There are various mundane and magical ways of getting around in the world of Warhammer aside from just walking:
- You can purchase a mount that lets you move at a significantly increased speed
- You can find a flight master and pay a small fee to fly to any other location that also has a flight master. This is the most common way of moving between zones.
- Vendors in the guild tavern in capital cities sell guild recall scrolls that can be used to return to the guild hall at any time.
- Every character starts with a Book of Binding that can be used to return their last designated rally point.
- You can walk through a portal to be teleported to a neighboring zone pair.

Flight Master
There is a Flight Master at most warcamps in the world and also in capital cities. Only one flight master exists per Zone Pair, even if there are multiple battlefields in the pair. For instance, you will find a flight master in The Shadowlands, but not in Ellyrion.
All players will be able to fly to tier 1 warcamps and their realm's capital city at rank 1. However to fly to warcamps in zones that are tier 2 and above, the player must have first visited the flight master in the warcamp, or have achieved a high enough rank for the tier, at which point the flight master will have unlocked automatically.
Flight costs vary by tier and are quite minimal, however, the cost to fly to your realm's capital city is only 50 copper.
When one initiates a flight, a short animation is seen with the player on a flying device, such as a magus disc, a flying creature, or a gyrocopter, depending on race. After this animation you will be sent to the load screen; there is no landing animation.
Important Note: When starting a flight via a flight master, your character remains on the ground and is still vulnerable to enemies until the loading screen begins.
Mounts Overview
Player Mounts are the primary form of free-roaming fast transport in WAR. Travel routes are great when you want to get from Point A to Point B, but nothing beats a trusty warhorse if you want to take a journey that is off the beaten path! Players will have a variety of options when it comes to choosing and using a mount, including unique mount types for each race and temporary "rental" mounts for low level players. However, you will have to be careful when riding your trusty steed across the battlefield. You definitely don't want to be thrown from your horse because you tried to ride it into a lake. And you certainly don't want to get shot off the back of your steed as you ride into battle.
- You can purchase mounts at City Stables at Rank 20 for 30 gold.
- Gives users a significant speed increase of 50%.
- Cannot use in buildings, caves, or other interiors.
- Cannot use in deep water, or in some areas and zones.
- Cannot use any abilities or enter into combat while mounted.
- Characters attacked while mounted, will be dismounted most of the time.
